This raft frame is constructed with aluminum pipe and smooth deck plate. Smooth deck plate allows for ease of gluing foam on the plates. The standard size fits two dry boxes and a cooler, comes with side rails and oarlock stands, and can be easily broken down. Frames have multiple cutouts for excellent strap down options and suspended floor addition. Cutouts align with floor and floor includes cutouts for securing captain's boxes (all pieces work together so you are able to upgrade one step at a time). Custom raft frames are also available. Now available in a variety of colors. The frames must go through the powder coat process two times because the sliders need to be moved after the first coat of paint and baking in the oven then recoated where the sliders were the first time around. Note: moving the sliders does leave some small imperfections in the paint.

Mad Cow Metal Works 4-Bay Raft Frame

Mad Cow Metal Works 4-bay raft frames were originally designed to be flown into remote roadless areas so our frames come apart by pulling 4 pins. This design is so well liked that we make only take down frames, which is really nice when no trailer is available for transporting and storage space at home is scarce. Our raft frames include plenty of cutouts on the sides for securing your extra oar and tying your frame down to your raft and your raft down to your trailer. Frames also include slots down the middle of the diamond plate for attaching our personal boxes--Molly box and Hollywood box with fishing tray. Our 1/8” diamond plate provides very good traction and stability and great place for kids and dogs to hang out. Smooth deck plate is also available. We use 1-1/4” aluminum pipe for all of our work, nominal od is 1-5/8”

Two Dry Boxes (price based off standard 36” box)

Our dry boxes are built with 10gauge (.100) aluminum sheet, robust can-jar latches, full-length stainless steel hinges, spring-loaded handles, 1″ slots in tabs for easy strap down, and rubber gaskets. These boxes are perfect for rafting, ATVs, trucks, and any other use you can imagine. Mad Cow dry boxes are water resistant and built to last. We offer standard and custom sizes (maximum box length is 45″). Call for pricing on custom sizes. Check out our personal size Molly box and Hollywood Box and trays.

This package can be upgraded to our Federally approved IGBC bear resistant food storage box “Brutus box”. IGBC boxes are becoming required in many state parks, national parks, national forest areas, river systems and areas where black bears, grizzly bears and polar bears are common--in both the U.S., Canada and Northern Territories. IGBC approved max length box is 40”. IGBC boxes come with locks.
