The Mad Cow Metal Works Trailer Table is an addition to our Standard Raft Frame that is designed to fit behind the main frame and give an extra full bay for longer trips. It is constructed out of aluminum pipe and diamond plate, with a hanging bag.   Our 1/8” Diamond plate makes for very good traction and stability. Smooth deck plate can also be requested. We use 1-1/4” aluminum pipe for all of our work, nominal od is 1-5/8”

Our trailer comes as a Drop Top with a bag, this is the ideal spot to store items that can get wet and free up much needed space in your dry boxes.  It is uniquely set up for quick access to life jackets, kids toys, air pumps, propane bottles, sandals, water jugs, dry bags, trash storage, etc.. Instead of the diamond plate top being welded to the bar (as in our standard Drop Top Trailer), it is a removable table top for lunch breaks and camping.

The Drop Top Trailer Table is custom made for your bay opening, making it a convenient way to have a table in a size that is non-intrusive to the rest of the boat. We machine in slots so you strap the table to the second bar in and works just like a regular drop top but you remove the straps and set up your table. It comes with two finger holes for lifting and framing on the bottom to hold it securely between your frame edges and tubes.

The framing on the bottom is designed so all four legs, which store in your bag, slide into slots on the bottom and all four legs are spread at angles for stability, much more stable then vertical straight legs. We make the legs to your specs for the height or make the legs our standard kitchen box height, either 30 or 36”, most are built 36”.

The rear bends of the trailer are bent to the general shape and angle of your tubes or your dimensions. The drop top trailer table should open front for strapping to the rear.

Our Trailer bags are made with a product the industry calls “Superman Mesh” for the bottom and a vinyl/canvas blend for the sides and has 8-12 straps with cam buckles, super bomber construction.

The Drop Top is uniquely set up for quick access to life jackets, kids toys, air pumps, propane bottles, sandals etc. Instead of the diamond plate top being welded to the second bar (as in our standard Drop Top), it is a removable table top for lunch breaks and camping.

We sell our drop tops with an extra cross bar when you need to remove the drop top and use a box in its place. Drop tops are made to fit our frames, may fit other frames.

Raft frame floors protect your raft’s floor and provide a solid platform for standing and stepping in and out. The Mad Cow Metal Works hanging raft frame floor is a welded aluminum pipe and diamond plate floor that typically sits in the captain’s bay. Our 1/8” diamond plate provides very good traction and stability. We use 1-1/4” aluminum pipe for all of our work, nominal od is 1-5/8”. The hanging floor attaches to the raft frame with cam straps allowing for height adjustment. Hanging raft frame floors have cutouts for strapping into the deck plate (from 4 to 8 cutouts depending on your boat/frame configuration). Strap locations take into account your dry box “tab” locations or other raft configurations.

We also make solid floors. We get about a 50-50 order rate on captain’s floors between solid or hanging. Captains’ floors can be made without us having your boat and they can be shipped (although it is always better for us to measure your boats dimensions). If it’s not possible to bring your raft in, please give us a call and we can walk you through measurements.

Raft frame floors protect your raft’s floor and provide a solid platform for standing and stepping in and out. Mad Cow Metal Works custom solid raft frame floors are welded aluminum pipe and diamond plate and can be made in any size to match your frame/raft dimension. Our 1/8” diamond plate provides very good traction and stability. We use 1-1/4” aluminum pipe for all of our work, nominal od is 1-5/8”.

Our solid front floors are made with a solid connection (white water bar) from the floor up and over the top of the tube and straps off to the “D” ring. This provides a much sturdier way to stabilize your floor than a strap. We consider our solid floor a must for “stand up” fishing and all-around comfort. Front floors also come with a fishing lean bar.

Our solid captain’s floors are made with a solid connection from the floor up to the frame and can be easily removed by pulling out some pins. Solid captain's floors are attached with pipe and frame sliders, each slider is pinned to the four vertical bars for strength and the ability to easily take the floor out when not needed. Extra cutouts can be added and aluminum angle can be added for holding position of Captain's boxes.

Our solid rear floors are held up in the rear by a strap unless an anchor system is added.  With an anchor system, they are both mechanically tied together and easily removed by pulling out some pins. White water rear bars are available at additional cost.

Hinged trap doors can be added to floors for access to floor air valves, this setup requires a lot of extra work but is well worth it, especially if you have small children or dogs in your boat eliminating foot entrapment, cuts and abrasions due to large open cutouts in the floor.

We set up the bottom of our floors to be a minimum of 11/2-2” off of the raft floor which usually gives enough clearance when rolling over rocks.

Generally speaking, we need your boat in the shop to make front and rear floors due to the angles of the boat.
